GOP Target

I watched a recent TV spot of Congressman John Sullivan (R) (CD-1) attacking the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).  In essence saying, "re-elect me and I'll vote to repeal the entire law and get in the President's face about it."  The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza's column exposes Sullivan. Almost all of the 93 comments about the column totally blasted Sullivan. Many, if not most, called him an idiot!

Today, a story appeared on the blog Talking Point Memo describing a GOP strategy enforced by the Club for Growth and allies, to totally repeal "Obamacare."  Here's a comment from one of the groups
“The Club for Growth supports complete repeal of Obamacare. And complete doesn’t mean partial. It means complete,” said Barney Keller, a spokesman for the group. “We urge the so-called ‘tea party’ Republicans to keep their promises to voters and continue to fight for complete repeal as well.”
Also in this picture is Sullivan's primary challenger, Jim Bridenstine who is forcing Sullivan even further to the right, if that's possible.

So the question is, "How extreme is Sullivan willing to go and what kind of showing by Bridenstine will really embarrass him?"

And, is blasting the Affordable Care Act the red meat GOPers are going to feed their crowd to get them to the polls?

Stay tuned.
